I’m Chadia, C, Dez.. ( all the names), a creative ( & writer) based in New York. I’ve always been drawn to the spaces where art, introspection, and reinvention meet. This blog is a home for my observations, spectacles of thought, beauty, and becoming.

I am endlessly inspired by stories that reveal emotional truth, by moments that feel cinematic, and by the quiet resilience of people who rebuild themselves with grace. When I’m not collaborating you’ll likely find me exploring hidden corners of the city, reflecting over tea, or chasing whatever curiosity has my attention that week.

I started this space back in college, and some of those early posts still live here (a mix of old musings and growing pains). I have debated deleting them, but there’s something beautiful about seeing the evolution unfold in real time.

Though blogs aren’t exactly the trend anymore, especially in the age of reels, quick captions, and fleeting feeds, I still find comfort in writing things out. So, I shall keep this space alive for as long as inspiration finds me, however infrequently that may be. i do have the intention of writing and sharing more consistently, though.. for my .2 reader friends who may like to keep up with me hehe.

Why a Blog, you ask?

Good question! Well, my friends are tired of me talking their ears off about random thoughts, so I decided to bless the sphere of the internet with my chatty and melodramatic tirades.

Jokes aside, this blog was born from curiosity and a love for reflection. Writing has always been my way of processing the world and of turning scattered thoughts into something meaningful. What started as simple musings evolved into a space where I could explore ideas, document growth, and share perspectives that might resonate with others.

I’ve always been drawn to “seeking” (cking) understanding of where I’ve been and “desiring” (Desirée—yes, my middle name) what’s to come. So, this blog is a creative outlet and a living record of that journey—a place for me to speak freely about whatever captures my mind as I move toward the next version of myself..

CkingDesirée is an ode to the past and a toast to the future. It’s not only about self-discovery, but identifying the self within the context of the world in which we live. This birthed of my seeking of purpose, achieving my desires, and pioneering in positivity in this world while also enjoying and growing from life’s experiences. It is about staying present, informed, real and honest about the topics that affect our lives as we cultivate passions, discover peace and greater self-awareness through life, leisure and travel. It is NOT a place of judgement or stress, but of peace and reflection.
